The special Anti-Malware policy thread has been removed

The long-standing policy thread that was posted as a sticky in this section has been removed.

The main points from that thread had to do with preventing the posting of "A vs B" comparison threads, as well as a restriction against posting VirusTotal (or similar scanning services) links.

These policies were old and were put in place when there was a great deal of strife between the users of different scanning/detection products and services. Such threads often descended into bickering and provided no real value to other readers except maybe entertainment for those who like bickering or trolling online.

Members can now post threads asking about multiple products and the thoughts people have about them.

Of course, threads that end up as bickering, trolling or some form of harassment are still subject to closure or removal.
