The root of some problems with Prevx

I read this Prevx section of Wilders for information. I never have major problems with Prevx with SafeOnline. The minor problems are quickly solve at online support.
I wonder if some of the problems may be traced to improper installation procedure.

When I install any program
I backup registry with ERUNT
I clean away the junk files
clean registry, modestly
defrag, run chkdsk
I backup registry with ERUNT
exit from all non essential processes
the last I use System explorer
so that only necessary system processes run.
I use the program through its paces to check for problems
I seldom have problems.
