The Right-Click "Send to" Option is Missing From My Music Partition

Hello. I'm trying to send my partition with my music folder in it to my external hard drive, but my right-click 'Send to' option is missing, and only from that partition. And I haven't done this for a while, so I checked a YouTube video to see if I was doing it correctly, and according to the 2:05 mark in this video:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dbuc7yXzliE

it is called the 'Send to' option. However, all my other partitions in my computer have the right-click 'Send to' option, except for my Extra Storage (D) drive. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? Also, is there still anyway that I can back up my music files from my computer like I periodically do?

None of my partitions have the Send To option. This is what I'd expect.

Are we using the same terminology? Do you have a Music "partition"?

For Music data backups, I suggest using Robocopy. Or perhaps an imaging app if Music is a partition.

Yes, my computer has had an extra partition added to it for my music files. Also, I have been backing up my music files for years with an external hard drive.

That video doesn't demonstrate Send to from a partition. It's sending a file.

This video looked promising, however, at the 00.32 mark, I didn't see my Microsoft hidden folder.

Well, on my computer, I have the right-click 'Send to' option for my Desktop, Documents, Downloads, and Picture folders and not just the individual files in them. However, before I had the added Extra Storage (D) partition added to my computer (because my music files were starting to take up a lot of space on my C Drive), I used to have what was called the 'Music' folder and I would send that entire folder to my external hard drive (and it hasn't been that long), however, I'm trying to recall exactly what I did the last time I backed up my music files into my external hard drive. But I'm assuming that I sent those files as a whole (and lord no, not individually) to my external hard drive since I no longer had a music folder to send to the external hard drive. However, I do remember I had a bit of a problem doing do that. But I'll look into the Robocopy and/or an imaging app as you had mentioned.

What is the drive letter of the Music partition?

We've been speaking at cross purposes. I don't think you have a Music partition. If you want further help, can you post a screenshot of Disk Management?

D It's an additional partition that I had added to my computer.

Here it goes, however, what I did last night was open the D partition, clicked on the first music folder and Ctrl at the same time and highlighted all the music folders in that partition and then I had the 'send to' option and sent all that to my Seagate external hard drive. But the problem with that is that I opened my Seagate Drive and I have duplicates of my music folder. However, I would just like to have one copy of my music folders (and of course, all the new music folders that I added to D drive since I last sent the music folders to it). Plus, I understand that within music folders, the order of songs in the playlists that I have in my music player (which happens to be WMP) are copied in that order and remains in those music folders.

I'll look at that, but I also wanted to mention that the problem that I first had with this was after I had the D drive added to my computer. And what I did was click on something that told my computer to add my music files and folders to the D drive instead of the C drive as it had been doing. And then after I first used the Seagate to update my music files and have them sent from the D drive, I remember something didn't quite go right and I don't think that all my music folders got sent to my Seagate drive. However, to try and fix that I created a folder called 'Music folder' included along with my other music folders (which are essentially folders that comprise of the music artists' names), therefore, my new 'Music folder' includes all the folder that I had trouble with sending to my Seagate... And yes, is it a bit of a mess.

For example, let's say that there's an artist named John Doe who has a John Doe folder in my D drive. Well, when I last opened that folder, I noticed that his more recent albums that I added to my music collection were in my D drive. However, when I scrolled down and opened that new folder that I named 'Music folder,' it had all of my previous albums by John Doe, but the new 'Music folder' didn't have those new albums that I added to my collection. Only my John Doe folder in the main D drive had the newer albums in it.

Yes, and I think that is the problem that I was having before. However, I am now having the problem that I mentioned in post 15, 16, and 17. Plus, I will admit that it's been over a year since I updated my music folder (time does fly), and I hope that I did my best in recalling what exactly I did with all this. And yes, I unfortunately, thought that I had sent my D drive to my Seagate drive, which you apparently can't do... And sorry, but life's busy and I know at least for myself, I don't always remember how I did something over a year ago. ;) Especially, if it involved an entire new partition that had been added to my computer.

Thanks for the nice screenshot. You don't have a Music partition. You have a Music folder inside the Extra Storage partition. Send to doesn't allow sending a partition. But you can use Send to to send the Music folder to an external drive.

Stand by. I'll be busy for a while but you should be able to recreate the Music system folder and move it correctly to the D: drive.

Okay, I did it. However, in that article, I did have to go to the https://winaero.com/blog/tip-enable-libraries-in-file-explorer-navigation-pane-in-windows-10/ link to learn how to enable Libraries in the File Explorer pane. Also, I noticed that my updated music files are in both the Music Library folder and the Music (2) Library folder, which are identical.

    Good.

Can you right click on the Music library, Properties, Location tab.
What is the path (in blue)?
Do the same for Music (2).
    Can you post both paths?

The above might not work for you as Music needs to be in This PC folders as well as Libraries. You don't have Music in This PC.

What is the path to your Music folder in the D: drive?

What is the path to the backup folder on your USB external HD?

I couldn't get to the Location tab. But here are two screen shots for the #1 and #2 Music library properties.

I thought I did on the left pane.

I don't think I know what you mean by path.
