    For the things around the house, it is a "set and forget" type of deal. You don't want to understand the inner circuitry of your refrigerator, toaster, plasma TV, A/C system, etc for you to use them. So it should be the same for the computer. If you had to "service" your electronic products around your house every time before you used them, how many people would actually do so? The main problem with computers is that you are constantly receiving "data" from an external source (be it via a modem, diskette, CD ROM, etc.). To get rid of the hackers entirely, you have to get rid of the interface completely.
