Help help!! It's real big! I have cleaned gator and backweb with SPybot, and added Sygate and spywareblaster today...

Still a big log; mother-in-law uses this computer for her work, so that may explain a lot of stuff I don't recognize, let's have the verdict, plz :D

    Hi Detox,

Good job man, as far as I could tell that log is clean

A lot of app's are running at startup, maybe it's good to crosscheck with pacman's list to see which really are not needed to startup always.

    PacMan's Startuplist

    Happy feastings

    Cheers,

Whow Unzy, your llink to the pacman's list is a (very) good job too.

I have never seen before such a complete list of startup applications! :)

    Ciao,

    Smokey

sry it took so long to reply; I'm heading back to Texas in just a little bit... Haven't been using the puter since I don't find the 28.8 experience too rewarding :D
I figured there hadda be something hanging around with all those startups... but I'll leave the link in favs here and let the in laws sort through it if they like.. After all, I got half the truck packed!

    Hi Detox,

msconfig was introduced with Win98. Which IMO is the best way to disable startups you might reconsider later.
Of course there are much more sophisticated programs around to do that with, like Startup Control Panel.

    Regards,

    Pieter
