Of course I don't believe anything else, considering the company deciding them, but I would still like some reflections and opinions from both staff and members - on the protection settings overall, that's.

    Thanks for any input! :)

I exceed default until I believe that the fp detections are piling up. Then I usually dial it back down close to or slightly above default. I do have a confessed preference for maximum heuristics until and unless things get out of hand. :)

I've been using Max/Medium/Medium all along without any problems. Occasional FP when installing an updated version of a program but I know it's a "trusted" FP so just allow it.

Just out of interest. What are the default settings. It's been so long since I used them I forget what they are? :D

    Hi all,
Am I correct guessing the Program Age Heuristics set on High will trigger only an alert but won't block a program and will rely on decision of a user instead? Whereas the Program Popularity Heuristics set on High will directly block a program without interference of a user?
For more reference pls see the snap below.

    Can somebody shed a light?
    Thx,
    pegas

Both of these settings will cause Prevx to show a modal block warning (i.e. blocking the program execution until you decide to allow it).

Whether it will produce too many warnings is generally dependent on the user's setup - if you frequently install new programs, High/High/High might be a bit overly cautious. Similarly, Max/Max/Max essentially creates a whitelist environment blocking any program which is untrusted that exhibits even the slightest degree of suspicious characteristics.

Thx Joe for your jet response :D. It's clear to me now. I was confused a bit from the description read in Prevx GUI. I will stick with High/Medium/Medium.
