WSA doesn't plug into email clients, but it watches what they introduce into the system to block any malware that comes from email messages.
Thank you I was looking at an old email that was marked as scanned and wondered if WSA scanned incoming before they were saved in The Bats format, which without a plug in, could not be scanned. So an attachment would have to be saved to disk separately before it would be scanned. Not a show stopper
