it's hard to say because i haven't seen AT tests like they have for AV [edit] i just saw the link to the guy on the forum doing the 100 malware test...ewido did quite well.

but i have both ewido full and BOClean on one machine, and it even runs ok with both real-time. now i'm trying F-Secure 2006 trial and have BOClean running with it. RAM usage has gone down from my previous KAV 5, Kerio 4.2.3, BOClean running situation. about 120 MB less RAM usage actually

Depends on if you are talking paid or free. With the paid version A squared comes with a very good IDS. Ewido and A squared both have threat databases in excess of 250,000. Opinions will vary from one persons experience to another. I think they are both very good programs. A slight :thumb: for Ewido over A2 from me... :D

Apart from detection levels, with respect to the Running Guards, you may find that BOClean is much lighter than either Ewido or a-squared ;)
Not as such in the present version but thought to include an on-demand component in version 5.

    NOD32, Kaspersky and Ewido

Those 3 find more trojans then the all the rest that is out there.
You can also think on sw like Online Armor or Appdefend
to PREVENT Trojans from being installed on yoour system.

For a scanner, I would say Ewido.

    Ewido, A-Squared and ClamWin Anti-virus. ;)

ClamWin finds some trojans in some of my newly downloaded wallpapers and clip arts. Try it, it's free on-demand scanner only. It's slow but very thorough in its scanning work..:D I am wondering why they called it clam coz it's slow and it really will sucks-in every file it runs through and nothing can escape from it. :cautious: :D

When scanning with a-squared I can still do ordinary work on my computer.
When scanning with ewido I cannot. It seems a-squared uses the resources more efficiently or runs with a lower priority. Anyway, on my old 400 MHz 128 MB laptop I can do work and a2 scan at the same tame, and that's nice!

By the way, a-squared comes with all 3 scandinavian laguages now, ewido comes with danish only.

    1) BoClean
    2) Ewido
    3) Trojan Hunter/A-squared

    My opinion
