Ok Rumpstah, I'm stuck already. Where do I copy all the files to? Into the same directory: Barts PE> Plugins> Nod32 ? or do I need to create seperate directories under Nod32, one called System, another called Program? as each of the files being copied are from various directories, some Windows, others Program Files> Eset

    Cheers :D

    Yes, it can be confusing.

The "files to copy.txt" lists the files that need to be copied to the
\files directory: (copy all these files to the \files directory that is already under nod32) i.e. c:\pebuilder3032\plugin\nod32\files\

No dumping of the ESET directory was made for this one. I used a plugin builder that grabbed the files for me (and threw it where it wanted).

In testing by people new to Bart PE it was found that Sherpya's RegExpander was needed. I thought everyone used it. ;)

Thanks to drak0 it has been added to the html file.

    Question -

Until this recent advance was the problem of having a useable and portable av scan because a cd was not dynamically writeable meaning one could not write to the disk during the scan? If this is the case (or if not) what was (or is) preventing having a portable av scanner using a flash drive?

    Thank you.

    Hi Q Section:

A flash drive would be nice if most of the older systems supported booting from them (and it was large enough). For multi-system use a CD would be preferable.

Q: Can BartPE boot from USB flash drives (UFD)?
A: Maybe. Does your BIOS supports booting from UFD as if it is a harddisk? The Windows XP FAT bootsector code does not behave correct when booting from UFD. Bart already "fixed" it.

    A1: Yes, it does work.

I hope this answers your question.

Am I way behind the loop or what...LOL
Is there any instructions on this procedure?
    -what to d/l?
-What files to copy (from) and to what location?
-What folder(s) should be burned to CD?
This is NOT to offend anyone (just me  dummy), so I am asking, don't hit too hard...lol :D
    Cheers :)
