Hi @Brian K . Are those settings still valid for latest IFL 3.18?
Or any change that improves speed or something?

    MisterX,

    Yes, the Options are unchanged.

The change in 3.18 is Hash files are created by default. So if you don't want Hash files you have to deselect "Create Sector Hash File" on the Options screen. If you are using a script you would use /hash:0 to prevent a Hash file from being created. For example, if you were creating differential Changes Only images (not incremental) then you wouldn't require Hash files with the differential images. But it doesn't matter if Hash files are created when they aren't necessary.

If you don't create Changes Only images then don't create Hash files. The full image will be created slightly faster.

Thanks. I use to create full images once in a while and differential images (Changes Only) on a weekly basis.

    Hello @Mister X,
    Done ;) !
I thought that while I was at it, I would just list all of the components that are included in the suite that had upgrade histories listed on the TeraByte website. Original post has been updated (# 1481).
    I hope this helps :) ...

Alright, now on v3.19 "Create Sector Hash File" function is gone. Just "Use Metadata Hash Files" stills there:

Now I ask @Brian K how the options would be?

    Mister X,

It's just a wording change. "Create Sector Hash File" is now "Faster Changes Only Backups".

I think it's because many people didn't understand what "Create Sector Hash File" meant.

The IFW pdf is a bit vague but this is not a /usemd setting although it can be used with /usemd.

It might just be me, but it seems "Potential changes, updates and enhancements" means absolutely nothing. That is not at all helpful. If you have no changed worth noting then wait until you do.

Does one have to upgrade with the BootIt Collection Upgrade? I have BIBM, via the bundle (haven't used it yet) ...

    Hello @paulderdash,

If all you need is BIBM, then you do not need to do anything. Your current license will continue to work. However, if you want or need BIU, you will need to purchase the upgrade. Since you already have BIBM, you would qualify for a 50 % discount. To get the discount, login in to your download page and there should be a button at the top of the page for the discount. I may be wrong but that is the way I understand it (I am sure that I read that somewhere but cannot find it now). I am sure someone will jump in if I am wrong. I hope this helps...

    Hello,
Does anyone know what this new option does and can give an example of when it may be needed? I am having trouble finding out any information about it.
