Does anyone have any idea when version 3.x of Terabyte's Imaging Products will be released? The latest version has been at 2.99 for a while.

Since it will most likely be version 3.x, what Major Changes do you anticipate?

    Thanks in Advance.

I would say it's most likely to move to 2.100+ before it moves to v3.

That is correct. David F. @ Terabyte Unlimited once told me about this versioning scheme, a couple of years ago iirc.

How do I migrate to the new version easily, as v3.00 wants to install to a different folder from the previous version?
I want to avoid all the setting up again, if possible.

It's using a different image file format, and likely different settings file. So I would suggest you take 2 minutes of your time re-configuring the new version.

Please uninstall all Ver2 apps prior to installing Ver3.

I purchased IFW this April. Am I eligilble for free upgrade? I entered my order details in the website. It gave me links to download ver 3 but I could not download them. It said page not found. In the download links there was an option to generate key. I generated the keys and tried downloading again but in vain. Can the trial downloads be converted to registered versions?

    sm1,

I think the free upgrade period goes back to the start of the year but I'm not sure. I'd contact TeraByte Support.

I only have a 50% off discount option to upgrade to v3. But it's good enough for me so I bought the upgrade to the new version.

No worries. There is no v3 to download on my product download page after log in. So I guess they haven't updated the download yet. Also when trying to create a IFW recovery WinRE ISO, there is warning message saying my Bootit BM license is not valid, although it was still working fine with BIBM v1.32.

    oliverjia,

You have to login using the fields at the top of your download page. Name, email and just received Order number. Then you can see the Ver3 downloads.

    @zfactor
You probably will have to wait for a day or two for them to fix the download links.
BTW, the new IFL uses multiple thread for compression during image creation, which resulted in better speed.

I had no trouble downloading from the links provided. Already have installed and done an image and restore. Note, I have no issue supporting them financially, but honestly other then a bit of glitzing up the GUI, and a consolidate function I really don't see the major upgrade here. No performance gains at all.

Guess the performance may depend on CPU - i.e., if you have a multi-threaded CPU, such as desktop i5, i7, a performance gain should be observed.

same her i really dont see any performance gains, and i have a beast of a system its running one as well as a older q6600 desktop i tested it on.

they fixed the issues i had. i figure for the 20$ why not. i use it a lot and last time i bought it was like 2011 or 2010.
