TDS-3 and checking one file ...

I asked TDS-3 to scan a 3 MB exe this morning. It started at 9:01 AM my time; now it's 9:11 and it's still going. Is this normal? Or did the UI just fail to tell me, "OK, I'm done"?

I've seen it take what seemed like forever before for a single file scane and I just gave up.

 

Hi msanto, Are you sure it was still scanning? Usually you get nothing in the console if the file is clean. It just says something like " Scanning file C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Professional\Ad-Aware.exe "
And in the logfile you would see this:
17:31:35 [File Scan] Scanning file C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Professional\Ad-Aware.exe
Try scanning the folder that the file was in and you will see the files being scanned.

This will be different in TDS4

I see. I would have expected it to say something like "File Clean" (well, probably something better than that) so I know ...
