    Hello,
Upon logon, I get the message that tcpsvcs.exe had to be shut down due to error. The eventlog blames imon.dll, and online crash analysis also shows it's Nod32's fault. I tried setting tcpsvcs into higher compatibility mode, uninstalling NOD, restarting etc. without use.

Windows XP SP2 + all updates
    Kerio PF 4.1.1
    NOD32 2.12.3 Standard

Any help resolving this problem would be greatly appreciated. I plan on buying NOD32, as I'm very satisfied with it's abilities and media feedback, as soon as this damn problem is solved.

    Thanks in advance!

If that were happening to me, I would uninstall NOD, delete the ESET folder in program files, and reinstall NOD without Imon, and do an in depth scan with NOD32 from the system tray.
I would also make sure that any other antivirus is removed before installing NOD just to eliminate it as a source of problems.

    I'll try this.
(This XP was installed a few weeks ago and had Panda AV running on it. It has been uninstalled and there came NOD.)
I found a temporary fix: told Imon to leave tcpsvcs.exe alone. However since that Imon fails to detect some threats it did find previously (like the Eicar test files).

In my original reply to you, I mention uninstalling and reinstalling NOD.
It would be easier to just unload Imon from the gui options.
My apologies for any wasted time. :)

    Hi ShunterAlhena, welcome to Wilders.

Have you cleaned the registry of Panda?

Can you please send an email to support@nod32.com and place a link to this thread. If you do not hear from Eset within 3 days (allows for weekends), please advise us here...

Let us know how you go…

    Cheers :D
