System restore and install shield error

    Hi All,

    I have a problem with my system restore function. The calender window is blank (though it does open without any content!) which is a bit worrying. This seems to be tied into the problem of not being able to install applications onto my machine.

    I have looked on the microsoft website which was not very helpful atall.

    My machine is a Dell Dimension 8300 and runs fantastic apart from this problem and it's driving me mad!

    Any help is really needed and welcome.

    maybe you have ticked "disable systemrestore"
