I have everything maxed in IN-depth scanner.
Now the system gets pegged 50% (dual core so one core gets pegged) and system becomes extremelly sluggish during a full scan.

Running Cor2Duo at 4.1 Ghz with 4 Gb of Ram on WinXP 32 bit with the latest V4 beta for the AV flavour.

    Hello,

I take it your system is overclocked, is that correct? If so, does running it at the stock speed make any difference? I am wondering if the problem might be with the CPU cache or memory timings.

Running a scan with all options enabled may fully utilize one processor core. So if you perform other cpu intensive operations during the scan, the performance may become sluggish.
