    Hello,

    I have Webroot AV with spysweeper and if I do a custom scan, with all the scan options turned on (rootkits and masked ), in safe mode; it detects a "system monitor, potentially rootkit, masked registry entries" and It can't remove in, it tries to quarreten but it doesn't stay there.

    If I click on the small arrow beside the virus detected entry, it gives me
    HKLM\software\microsoft\windows\current version\Run || spysweeper.

    So I did a regedit and I could not find ;"Run || spysweeper"; so I guess that is the masked registry entry. Does it sound like I have a problem or is it Webroot AV detecting itself?

    Help!!

    Shaun

    Hi Shaun. Open msconfig and check if there's an orphan regkey under the startup tab. Uncheck any empty entries and apply changes.
    Does the same occur when you scan in normal mode?
