I'm sorry, but I don't like this new name. I always found Process Hacker interesting, but somehow I always stuck with Process Explorer. System Explorer isn't that bad either, but not being developed anymore.

Thanks- Picked up a 'Nightly" release to take for a spin. PH is always on any installs i do locally. Helpful program with a lot of good years of Windows inner workings experience

Agreed. I gave both a shot and sided with PE. And having access to VirusTotal sweetens the deal.

VT makes any program like this very slow, disabled here for any reason. (my system is clean) if process hacker or similar has found a running task which is noticed on VT, than its already too late for you!

the latest v3 build is running nice here, better than v2.

Thanks for the update, I was wondering why PH stopped updating, I was afraid it turned into another dead project. I am really looking forward into it being digitally signed, hopefully no more being removed/blocked by AV.

Recently nightly builds of System Informer have been published, which are available there:

I guess, it doesn't tale long for a stable release.

The driver "SystemInformer.sys" is signed by Microsoft. No detection (0) on VT...

Thanks for posting this. Have been using this for quite a while back in the day, but switched to Process Explorer. Switched back to System Informer and I see a lot of what I liked before.

I like the Disk, log functions (being able to see what was started/stopped in the background) and plenty of other options that Process Explorer itself doesn't have.

Amazing, just as I have replaced PH with PE, time to go back.

P.S. It finally got transparent systray icons. :thumb:

I guess I will need to give it a try too. I feel like Process Explorer is a bit slow to start up. I never really trusted Process Hacker back in the days.

    Surprise, surprise...

Microsoft Defender blocked this, but I have overridden and decided to keep installed on my two laptops.

It could really use that digital signature, unless it is a myth?! Disk monitoring (for SSD) does not work without admin and I can not run it, unless I disable ValidateAdminCodeSignatures, I guess the same goes for Smart App Control.

Does anyone have the latest process hacker nightly build (or at least any build from 2022), or is that lost forever?

I have found the source code on github but no binaries for it. I have 3.0.2909.

No, though VirusTotal does not work again and I get 10 secs freeze upon every launch, most likely due to my settings, but it works afterwards as long as it is not closed. I love it and I can not imagine using Windows it.
