system flie checker NOT SFC

    i am familiar with how to use sfc for modified system files, but are there any better alternatives ?

    Good question. I've run SFC on computers and a lot of times it will find corrupt files but fails to repair them.

    On Vista SFC will alway say it has found files and cannot repair them. If you look in the cbs logs (via notepad in admin mode) it always shows the Sidebar as being the culprit. It is a known Vista 'thing'.
