    Hi,

One of our Servers is quite old and in order to be able to replace the server prompt we started to backup the server by using syspref and acronis true image server like acronis faq http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/faq/clone-windows-to-hardware/

So we run sysprep.exe -mini and created a image of the server. So far everything was just fine, but after we rebooted the server everything looked like a new installation the data are still there but the server doesn't run anymore.

How could this happen? I mean does using sysprep+acronis always mean *create a image but you loose your system* o_O?

I tried to undo the whole sysprep thing but I am stucking in the recover console because the admin pw doesn't fit anymore.

How can we fix this again and how can I backup my servers in the future without "Universal Restore" with sysprep ´+acronis but still having a running server afterwards ??

    Thanks in advance!!

    Vladimir
