I think something like this would be handy for me, because I hate making back ups. This one does it automatically, but I wonder what happens when you move data from one folder to another, I mean you don't want to back up duplicate files. https://bee.synology.com/en-us https://www.storagereview.com/news/...kstation-ds423-and-plus-series-hdds-announced
I can tell you why (i think) that is. The same applied to me as well a long time. I hated backing up and doing imaging, especially restores. With virtualization containment technology i just didn't find it necessary. Then as i shifted further away from malware testing etc and engaging in more effort/time experimenting with imaging/restores now i'm hooked. And malware testing is the other way around. I enjoy the joys and security of imaging and restores more than ever.
I suppose with virtualization containment technology you mean restore software? But this isn't the same as making back ups right? With me it's because I haven't got a good back up plan. I simply select certain files that I believe are important to me and copy them to the external SSD. The problem is that looking for these files takes time and Windows hasn't got a built-in tool like Piky Basket, where you can select multiple files to cut or copy and then paste them all at once. Piky Basket still exists as Copywhiz, but it's very unstable on my Win 10 machine, unlike Piky Basket which was quiet stable on Win XP. https://www.conceptworld.com/Copywhiz
