Should I download it to my c:\ or in my download folder?

If you have same problems then copy or move the .msi file into the main C:\ and use this command in Run, msiexec /i C:\spf.msi REINSTALL=All REINSTALLMODE=vomus /qb

Download it directly to C:\ and then when download finish click Open. If you then experience the same problem then do the command shown in previous post.

When the Install stops, it prompts u for location of .msi, are u pointing it to C:\ where the download is? or should be.

OK I downloaded the MSI to my c:\ (C:\SPF.MSI) and pointed the installation to there and it still stops. Still no luck. I think Sygate just don't want to install on my computer.

Totally unrelated, but if you are to move away from Sygate, which firewall would be your next prefered choice?

I've currently lost the use of Sygate with my new PC, and I'm in the process of looking for a new one.

I've ruled out Norton, McAfee and ZA, purely because I've used them before, and for one reason or another, didn't quite work for me.

Sygate's been fab, I'm gutted that I can't run it on my new PC....

I'm using Kerio 4.x now. It's the only firewall that works on my computer. ZA just don't like my computer. I'm afraid to pay for a firewall now becuase of this Sygate problem. ;) What if this happens to another firewall like Outpost or look n stop?
