SVSHOSTI.exe

My Win XP does not shut down because of this file, that won´t terminate. Besides, Norton is disabled and I am not able to enable it. Is this a virus? I've been reading about a SVSHOST, without the "i" but couldn't find anything, in any database, about this one. Help please!!!

I have already scanned my system and couldn't find any viruses but still...
What if I just delete the SVSHOSTI file and edit the registry?

I wouldn't delete it yet.

Posting a HijackThis log would give us a better idea what that file might be associated with.

Just follow the instructions here,

I finally got positive info on my problem. It´s a trojan, as can be seen on

Basically, it gathers bank info and then tries to sent them via email.
