Supported external USB 2.0 DVD drives?

We are currently using an Acronis 7 build 638 "rescue" CD to image our hard drives to a Sony external USB 2.0 CD burner.

We want to upgrade our process to DVD media and the main interest is in a dual layer/dual format drive such as the Sony DRX710UL.

What are the supported drives in this category?

We regret to inform you that the current version of Acronis True Image standalone version (Acronis rescue CD) doesn't support writing images to DVD discs. Please read the following information regarding writing on DVD discs with Acronis True Image: http://www.acronis.com/products/trueimage/faq.html#20.

We recommend you to save images onto hard drive (you should split an image in this case) and then write them to DVD discs.
