Ok, back to the same problem, switch from one account to another.......prevex vanishes. I kinda give up for now, just re formatted computer, fresh install of 64 bit windows.
I wanted to use this as my only program, but that can't be if it occasionally decides not to start.
This is in all accounts, admin and standard.
A shame, back to mse for now

Did you try adding that registry entry he gave you on the last page. That should make the computer boot Prevx when ever there is a login. :(

unfortunately I have absolutely no idea how to even start when it comes to adding registry entries, the hints so far mean nothing to me.
If someone can give me a simpletons guide to making the entry I will give it a go.
    Thanks Rollers

Ok here is a Zip with that reg entry inside. All you do is extract the file right click the file and click merge (Prevx NEEDS to be installed). If you want to see what I did just click edit you will see all I added was Joe's tip for you.

Here is the link to the file. Sorry I'm not used to uploading files to servers so this is the best I could find. It makes you wait 30 sec to download the file. :doubt:

    Edit.
If that upload don't work let me know I can always email it to you also.

I don't believe so it should work across all accounts.

Good to hear. Keep us posted, Joe is working on a more Permanent fix instead of this temporary one.

    Thanks Fajo,

The fix appears to be holding up. Sometimes on swapping users it takes about 30 seconds to appear, but the icon gets there and runs properly. Hopefully Joes fix he is working on will make this a thing of the past.
I am running only on prevx and firewall, which is what I wanted to do and the computer is really flying with everything now.
When safeonline is 64 bit then that will be the icing on the cake.

:thumb: Thanks, Fajo, for the help with that :) We will be making a more permanent fix in one of the upcoming updates but this should keep you covered for now at least! :)

Well PrevX seems to be one serious contender, why haven't we seen any very serious test on it so far?

    Thanks,
    Simon

We have been reviewed by a number of organizations which can be read from here: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=244969

We haven't been tested by AV Comparatives/AV-Test.org because their methodology does not work with the Prevx design but AMTSO will hopefully be creating new specifications which will help make it possible for Prevx and similar products to be tested properly.

Prevx has been heavily tested by Threedog Labs and passes all tests. :D :D :D
