SuperAntiSpyware Free+Mebroot

Does anyone know if SAS Free can detect (and perhaps even clean) this particular nasty?

It seems to be active on more and more heavily visited websites http://www.symantec.com/enterprise/security_response/weblog/2008/04/mebroot_spreading_through_high.html and it makes me wonder how to arm yourself against this.

 

We should clean all the variants we have located - if you have an actual infection that we do not clean, submit a support request here and we can run a custom diagnostic and update our definitions to remove it:

Have you upgraded your scanning engine because i have quite a few MBR samples archived including 3rd & 4th evo's?
