This product intrigues me. Any thoughts or opinions from anyone who use this? Is it as good as or better than Ad-aware or SpyBot S&D? Is it stable? Any feedback is greatly appreciated

 

From all the, "tests results," I have seen, it keeps getting better and better. Most here use it. I wouldnt leave home without it.

Against recent more entrenched malware it leaves Spybot and Adaware for dead in both detection and cleaning stakes.

It can unpack malware files that niether Adaware/Spybot have the ability to
do and with its kernel interogation technology can see stealthed/cloaked files that the other 2 are incapable of detecting in there current state.

I am using the Pro, but so far mine has not found any new Updates available. I will just wait awhile.

Hi Jerry.

Have you tried updating via the right-click on the taskbar icon and check for updates that way ?

IRC the updates feature in the programme is for Defintions only where as the icon avenue is for both software+definitions.

I'm not sure but you can manually update without uninstalling by the above post icon method.

I downloaded the new version from the website.
It must have been too early when I updated with the tray icon.
So I went the uninstall/download/install route.

 

Yes, and just now again. I will wait and see. I am away and on dial-up so maybe it is not so bad. I started to download the new version, but did not want to wait for it, I thinik it was 5.2 megs.

FWIW- I started the program and clicked "check for updates." Then a pop-up window with a link to the 3.4.1 version appeared. I clicked that and everything went smoothly.
