How can I extend the trial cause this week I couldn't test it cause my cousin came and used the PC the whole day. I didn't have time to see how it performs with malware and trojans because of my nerdy cousin who stayed the whole day on the PC. Thank you very much. I need at least for 5 days if possible. Thank you.

It has a 30 day trial. So unless your cousin stayed on it for 30 days then I don't understand why you need more days. Are you saying you installed it 30 days ago and on the last day you wanted to test it and your cousing was using the pc? If that's the case then all I can ask is what were you doing with the other 29 days?

Reformat, re-install your operating system and then re-download the trial is the only way I know of to re-evaluate a software. Will the free version not work for your testing purposes ?

I'm too lazy to start a new topic... but recently after installing the free version...

    1. It's taking 30k mem... the free edition... with no scans running, minimized in tray... no realtime protection on... nothing...

    2. A real annoying bug... while right-clicking it (like 70% of the time)... the normal SUPERantispyware stuff pops up... but also like the right-click options for the tray also pops up... this is for the latest version downloaded off the website.

Edit: did a scan... 2 f/p found on first scan...

    Trojan.Zlob.Downloader

Complete scanning result of "Au_.exe", received in VirusTotal at 11.13.2006, 10:36:37 (CET).

The amount of memory sounds about right after a scan - when SUPERAntiSpyware allocates and releases memory, Windows won't actually "release" the memory back after it has been fragmented so the task manager will show something like 30MB (30000K). The amount of memory shown really will have no impact on your system, as if SUPERAntiSpyware is "idle" and not scanning, nor running real-time protection, Windows is designed to swap the memory to disk (if another active application needs the memory), so the amount of memory shown used in task manager is really inconsequential and means really nothing for a non-active application.

As far as your "false postive" - thank you for taking the time to report it - that is why we have the built-in false postive reporting system - the file is already being handled (less than 24 hours since reported) and our new definitions will reflect the change. No anti-spyware application will go through its life without false positives - it's all about how the company deals with them - every anti-spyware application should have a built in system to report them - many companies only do definition releases weekly and the false positive would stay "alive" much longer than one found in SUPERAntiSpyware.

Regarding the right-click menu - if you have the main application up, right clicking will bring up the application (as it gains focus) and the right-click menu.

I just see where it is mentioned earlier in this thread that it's 30 days. Obviously an error as who should know better than you. :D But what happens after the 15 days? Does it revert to the free version?

After 15 days it no longer functions, you can uninstall and install the Free Edition if you desire to keep using the scanning and removal portions.
