Sun Solaris IDE drive

    Will acronis back-up a sun solaris ide drive that has been moved to a pc?

    Hello dtrull,

    Thank you for your interest in Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Acronis True Image will be able to create an image of Solaris drive but only in sector-by-ssector mode since the file system is considered to be "unknown" for the program. It means that all the data will stay intact but the image will include sectors containing free space as well. It will result in the large size of the image. However, there should be no other problems using Acronis True Image with the drive.
