    Wouldn't YOU like to know?
JVM was removed in SP1a from XP, yea? source: www.download.com

"If you are not running Windows XP SP1, install SP1a for security and reliability updates to the Windows XP family of operating systems. There is no benefit to installing SP1a if you are already running Windows XP SP1. We do not recommend that you install SP1a if you are already running SP1. Windows XP SP1a is almost identical to Windows XP SP1 except that the Microsoft virtual machine (VM) is removed in SP1a."

Wasn't Microsoft VM equivalent to the JVM?

Edit: it seems I may be totally wrong. JVM is a component of JSDK?

Here is a little info on Java. There have been and are still arguments as to whether Java should be used as a component of Internet (Web) browsing.

yeah... am running latest java... I don't like Java mainly because it destabilizes my poor system... whether on Yahoo msgr or on IE...Firefox it completely obliterates.
