Thanks for the clarification. However, I don't use any codecs pack, so I will wait for the standalone installer.

[SUMo] Beta Report for Java(TM) Platform SE (64 bits) by Oracle v 8.0.3110.11 - SUMo reports Update available (17.0.1.0)
I believe version 8 is still the recommended version.

[SUMo] Beta Report for Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition by PortableApps.com v 78.14.0.0 - SUMo reports Update available (92.0.999.1)

No such official version as portable that I'm aware of.

CrystalDiskInfo by Crystal Dew World v 8.12.10.0 - SUMo reports Update available (8.12.11.0)

When I launch Diskinfo, it shows the correct version which is the latest download. Niether the file version or product version was updated by the dev, and the .exe shows 8.12.10. so my question is where is SUMo getting the reported version number from, if not from the file or product version properties?

Correctly detected as 8.12.11 on my system. Did you install latest version ?

Yes, but what are you looking at to detect the version?

My reply said latest download and the 1st image indicates that. Just downloaded again and the same files. Can you screenshot me your file showing file version and product version from an explorer view as I did?

Or tell me where you downloaded from.

Both files show 8.12.10 BUT registry correctly says 8.12.11 (which is what SUMo uses in this case)

Your assuming Diskinfo uses the installer. The zip is portable and doesn't mess with the registry. There is
nothing there to check, so the fallback should be the file properties no?
