suggestion : tag or send suspect file

a lot of software now we can send file automatic :



i have eset smart security and we can send suspect file.
Is Prevx THERE can integrate this system?

tagged px5 file (we can make false dispositif but not virus ^^) or send at the labs with option?

because : open email software, write email, make .RAR with password...put 5 minutes
but right click -> "Send this file at Prevx's Lab" or " Generate PX5 and tag suspect", it will be more easy and fast

Thank you for the suggestion I'll see what we can do to add in this type of functionality, although, our community monitoring system allows us to be immediately aware of any newly spreading threat before it starts to reach a higher population.

If it is more convenient, you may want to submit the file using VirusTotal - it will get scanned by Prevx, sent to us, and should generally be automatically run through our sample processing systems.

However, depending on demand, we may indeed develop a small tool to make sample submission easier

i found on forum (who infected a lot of people !), i send at prevx :

and it is ont detecte again.

in this french forum, there are 5 people infected just by this worm (who write url) :

brief, i like a lot prevx communauty, but i think, "the members" can't participate effectively in excess of the scan...

but an portal'community, can be good (with blog + malware center + form submission...)

and with prevx generate PX5 and able to look at the portal (by px5 or md5), for see this program as been "tagged" by other member

but for do more easy my idea (and I want to know your idea)

malware.exe -> do right click :
Scan with Prevx 3.0 => say "no malware found..."
under you have this options :
(1)|--> see community infos
(2)|--> create a community alert !


when you click it, prevx generate PX5 on file and open browser :

http://www.prevx.com /communauty/file.php?px5=123456789

and now you are (1), if file is know by prevx you are infos of virus ( as in prevx malware center )

and if prevx don't know (2), you can login with "myprevx" and with form you can upload and report as unsafe file (protect other user by communauty heuristics), rhe time that the prevx's team analysis file.

I think, it is very better against malware (and zero day), the community can protect themselves and the team prevx correctly validate or no warnings. even if it can do a lot of work but prevx will be much more effective
