After years of no issues with SG I suddenly can't place a Green Check in the
Real-time scanning engine option, it will only place the Red X in that option box regardless how many times I try -
the other two option boxes have their Green check.

Anyone with any clues please as to what might be causing this ?

    Hi,

What version of Windows are you running?

Also, what security/privacy software do you have installed? (anti-virus, anti-spyware/malware, firewall, security suites, cleaning tools, etc.)

    Best regards and thanks,

    Hello and thanks JC,

I run XP Home and probably too many sec./priv. Apps. so the penny should have dropped, but they all seemed
to be compatible with no issues, however, I see your point that now one or other of them has had a rush of blood and caused the boat to rock.

Since yesterday I decided to dump that ATI and restore one to when SG was working fine, and it is again - Shall just watch, but your wake up call will have me thinking how best to lessen the Apps.

    Kind Regards.
