    Why if the subscription is free does it have a count down to how many days you have left on your subscription in the help box? Do you have to purchase it after the one year free trial period? thanks!

    I believe is was spyware blaster, its the latest one I downloaded. When I went looking for an explanation it led me to this message board.

    Spywareblaster is totally free and does not have a countdown feature. It also appears that you are un-sure which program you are speaking of....so do you have a link to the program you downloaded ? We then could possibly be able to tell which program you indeed have.

    One year sounds like -- among many others, of course -- avast a-v, home version. But that doesn't have a count-down, simply shows the expiration date in the "About" info.
