Recently I was having some bizarre activity on my laptop so I scanned it with Emsisoft Anti-Malware and removed 6 trojans. I could only run Internet Explorer in full screen without toolbars, and the voice recognition software from Office 2003 was permanently activated. Freaked me out!

Run HMP and MBAM. After that take your pick of any boot time AV's. Avira and kaspersky are pretty good. Then run Dr web AV. Also take a look at your msconfig and see whats in your startup. That "should" take care of everything.
What kind of trojans were they? You might want to run gmer or even combofix. Make sure that no TDL got in.
