Strange problem with ESS

Hello,

I have the following problem with ESS. Whenever I go to the advanced configuration panel, and when I click on "OK" to validate the settings, the advanced configuration window remains displayed for a certain time, and the problem is that this can last up to let's say 10 seconds.
Then if I try to close ESS main window, egui.exe hangs...
The only solution I found is to uninstall the program and reinstall it.

If someone got this problem and found a workaround, please let me know,

TRY TO DISABLE ADVANCED HEURISTICS ON Realtime Protection
then tell if problem gone or not
and what's your OS (XPSP?) (VISTA) How Much Ram?

 

Yes the problem is gone when I uncheck advanced heuristics. But I'd like to keep this option, so what can I do. My OS is XP SP2.
