im getting lots of entries where the port destination is my utorrent port and the source port is random.

i have utorrent closed, so what are these connections? are people still trying to connect to me or...?

    Hi WSFuser :)

Not so strange... utorrent used the Distributed Hash Table to keep track of torrent (without the tracker...). So the Ip address of each peer in the "swarm" (group of peer) in kept in this table and is available to the peers... Until you change your IP address the other peers may try to connect to your IP.

The same kind of "problem" happen with the other p2p programs.
If you start gnutella or eDonkey for many hours and stop the application you'll see many entries like this... Because the IP address is kept in a "cache" to increased the network performances...

    :)
