    Hello,

    I just noticed that it can happen, during a version update, that the webroot tray icon disappears and never come back.

    If I launch Secureanywhere manually it has still the old version.

    If I launch the update after this it usually works and the software gets updated.

    It seems to me, but could be my impression, that this happens mostly on PCs that stay on for long periods without rebooting (periods like one / two weeks), since it never happened to me on PC with daily reboots.

    It's not a problem for me, I simply deactivated the automatic updates and check it manually so I can immediately act if something doesn't work during the update, but I wanted to report this so that, if possible, the update process can get improvements.

    Best Regards

    I believe the new version (8.0.2.79) will correct this moving forward so you should be fine to leave it installed with the default automatic update settings and it will continue running without a problem.

    Let me know your results!

    Hi again...........yes and no :(

    Two PC, both with windows XP;
    on one of them the transition form .79 to .85 went smoothly, on the other one I had to launch manually Secureanywhere, which was not in tray anymore, and launch the update a second time.

    The second time, as I described before, it worked.

    Best Regards

    Do you have any HIPS or any other security that could be blocking the update?
