    Good, but don't IMSI catchers depend on phones defaulting to older insecure protocols, if others aren't available?

    In some phones there is an option to force i.e. 3G connectivity. I suspect that in 5G phones there will be non-default option to force 5G, but probably it is not gonna be so popular due to much less coverage.
