Isn't this pretty avoidable by sitting there for a moment and asking yourself "Who the hell is Kaamil Mahmoud?".

As I look in my Junk Mail folder I see no Kaamil Mahmoud, but there are plenty of others I guess I should stay away from. :)

I have no Facebook account and don`t Twitter.

Reason ? Never did feel too happy walking over a red hot fire with my bare feet. Rather keep my boots on. That way I don`t get burnt.

Yes. Unfortunately there's a constant race for users to add as many people as possible on facebook haha

Nothing to worry about. Anyone on Wilders could add this "friend" and be just as secure I'm sure =p

Almost anyone, there are still plenty of newbies here.

I don't even get e-mails from the real Facebook, due to my extreme privacy settings.

I'm not even sure what 'Twitter' actually is.

    http://twitter.com/

Twitter is more for following people and not so much emphasis on the "friend-ing" of Facebook.

No. Twitter accounts get hijacked daily, and you still have to worry about malicious links and such. It's social media, so the regular dangers apply. Don't get click-happy, don't give out personal info, and don't "tweet" things you wouldn't want your mother or a cop to know about. Oh, and leave the suggestive picture posting to celebs and the hackers who steal their accounts ;)

Twitter scans all links with Google's SafeBrowsing API.

Just FYI. It's one of the few that does.

True, I knew that. But, SafeBrowsing isn't the end all, be all of safety. Plenty gets past it, which is why you still have to exercise caution at these places.

It is. I would take it one step further and disable apps all together.
