Start a task from command line

    Is it possible to start a backup task from the command line. I want to make backups to my external Maxtor USB drive. It has a programmable push button. I would like to set it up so that a backup task will start when I push the button on the maxtor drive.

    I understand that this is a marketing feature of the 'Server' version only - though I have not confirmed this. Perhaps someone better placed can?

    One way to do it with the regular version is to use a free program called "Autoit".
