Basically while I was re-allocating space on my two partitions about half an hour into the process my computer decided to go into standby mode. When I shook the mouse the computer exited sleep mode but now my screen is black and i do not want to restart as i fear I shall lose my data.

    Any suggestions?

    Thnx

Is the hard drive light still showing activity?

Did the monitor wake up completely (standard "power on" light, no "sleep" light)?

Did you boot the Paragon cd and try completing the operation from there?

The bootable cd has quite remarkable powers of recovery.

My Paragon rescue disk does not even get past the set up section. I hope danzo989's rescue disk works better on his machine.

    Hi Cortez,

If not - there is another plan.

How come you are trouble with your cd? Are you in the same situation as danzo?

No, I Just wanted to see how it worked (I just assumed it would like Acronis' rescue disc). Luckily all my 7 XP partitions are all working correctly.

I guess I must remedy the rescue disc problem before any problems occur.
This will give me something to do and keep me out of trouble :D .

LOL. Strange - it is a Linux/dos cd - similar to Acronis. The WinPE disc must be fine, surely.
