I would like some help. I am running Linux Mint 18.1 Serena Cinnamon. I want to be able to run the Standalone Tor Service. I want to be able to use Thunderbird with the Torbirdy addon. I don't want to be forced to launch TBB. I have TBB installed. The article I have been using as a guide is provided below. It points to modifying the torrc file. It says to make the following addition to torrc "SOCKSPort 9150". I have to admit I don't understand a lot of the differences between Linux and windows. For instance, windows uses ## for syntax for remarks (rem). As I look through the torrc in linux all I see is either remark syntax ## or the single # which I am assuming is for actual commands. Here is my request. Can somone who uses the same config please copy and paste the contents of their torrc file to me? I am using 6.5.1. Hopefully I have covered my request in enough detail. I have a question on top of all this. In windows the standalone service wont torrify the entire desktop. It takes a client like Proxifier to accomplish that. I am assuming it is the same in Mint. Correct or incorrect I would appreciate feedback on that as well. Thanks in advance.
