Which speed should I be more concerned about when purchasing a SSD?

And is there an official conversion for IOPS to MBps? Right now I've heard it's IOPS speed*IOPS rate / 1,024, so for 70,000 IOPS 4K random read would be (70,000*4)/1,024 = 274 Mbps. But I'm not sure if that is the official formula.

am not sure there is a correlation between the 2, at least not an accurate one. its a bit like car engines, the bigger the engine the more horse power it has but that is only true half the time as proven by the japanese car makes in particular. i think the same principle applies to SSD's

IOPS is definitely the one i look out for but thats just me, especially if its the boot drive.

edit- i say there is no correlation as real world tests prove that manufacturer stated IOPS vary in accuracy. i recommend looking at techpowerup tests for real world transfer rates between different SSD's
