I have just reintalled windows XP and have been taking detailed notes on every new process that starts after each step of reinstalling current drivers, software, etc.

I just got "sqlserver.exe" running as a process on win XP. I have never seen that so i did a quick search on it and several "other forums" had many references to it being related to a "W32.SQLExp.Worm".

I am 99% sure it came from installing "ms office professional edition 2000 WITH business contact manager" just now.

Does anyone know exactly which update i need to protect against this worm if indeed i do need to. I don't like going to microsoft and then just letting them tell me what i need to update, because that has cause me problems over the past 2 weeks.

Thanks for any suggestion that you might have :)
