    Hi Pluto,

You never actually said what the specific error is that you are seeing. It may help determine more about what happened and ways of getting it cleared up.

You should be able to delete all of the registry values/keys you posted. (I'm not sure why they weren't removed when SpywareGuard was uninstalled, though.)

Could you please post a little more about this problem? What version of Windows are you running? Could you perhaps post a screenshot (or the entire text of the message you receive about this registry problem)?

    Thanks,

    -Javacool

It looks like the SpywareGuard uninstaller wasn't able to remove any of it's keys at all... probably something was locked at the time it first ran. (Was it run from an admin account, assuming an NT based version of Windows here.)

Perhaps the easiest way to clean it all up is to just install it again with all default options. When complete, right-click the systray icon and do a File menu Exit to shut it down. Then run the uninstall available in Add/Remove Programs again. Of course you'll need to reboot once following that to delete the .dll files, but that should be very clean.

More information on the specific registry error might lead to a different plan though.

    Thanks for all the answers
1 the problem I get : each time I start the computer ; Windows (98 SE french) encountered an error while accessing the registry system. windows will start again and repair the registry system.
That it does ; but next time I stop and start again same problem
2 I already tried a reinstallation ; and right clicked the systray + file menu exit then uninstalled using Norton Uninstal deluxe since Addremove left over the dlprotect.dll file
3 How can I get more information on the registry error ?
    Thanks o_O

Now that's odd. I don't think SpywareGuard could cause that particular problem... :doubt:

I'll have to look and see what information I can find on that error - and why it isn't being permanently fixed.

    Best regards,

Not sure about the specific registry error at this point, but... when you used Norton Uninstal deluxe to uninstall this time, did it again leave all those registry entries behind or did it remove them cleanly? (I've tested installing and uninstalling a few times today on my test system and it always removes all those entries with normal uninstall. The dll can be removed simply by rebooting and then deleting it.)
