Currently running on my pc when in use.

Linksys befsr41 v4.0 with newest fw
    Comodo firewall
    Comodo BOClean
    Avira premium 6 month trial
    Winpatrol
    SpywareGuard

As for prevention with out real time scanning

    Spybot S&D immunize
    Spywareblaster
    SuperAntiSpyware

Do I have to much and its overkill? Or is there something you suggest adding to take SpywareGuards place?

    Interesting question,

I've just installed SpywareGuard v2.2 & here's what caught my attention straight away.

When you successfully complete the updates, the program shows the following status "Definitions Date: 1/22/04 o_O "

If you click on the "About" option it shows (c.) 2002 - 2003 o_O

    All that seems extremely outdated?

Is it really doing anything at all?

comodo boclean and the avira antivir premium should protect you from spyware/ad-aware for real-time protection so I don't think you need spywareguard anymore,

spywareguard's main protection I always heard was browser hijacking and heuristics so I guess thats why it doesn't get updated anymore but I think winpatrol would protect from any browser hijacks or comodo firewall if you're using the defense + feature.

JavaCoolSoftware hasn't bothered to update SpywareGuard in 4 years, so I'd say it's obsolete. Why do they even bother listing it on their product page anymore if their not willing to support it? WinPatrol is awesome, I use it as well. Stick with that, you'll be fine. SpywareBlaster is an essential program on my computer, so don't get me wrong. I just found 4.0, thanks!
