Will SpywareGuard also work with Mozilla Firebird?

Browser Hijack Protection and Download Protection only work for IE or browsers using the IE "engine"

As opposed to IE?
The chances of getting hijacked always depend on your settings (how much you allow). Getting rid of a hijack in Firebird is 100% easier. All you need to do is change your startpage back to what you want.
The same goes for Opera.
