    Hello

    Yesterday I installed SpyBlaster 3.5.1
After I restarted my PC it took much longer before I could go online, and everything worked much slower. Sometimes even it took seconds that my mouse was blocked.
I have a Pentium III, with Windows 98, and use also Spybot and AVG.
So I used the uninstall command to remover Spyblaster.
Now Spyblaster is removed but my PC continues to work slowly and blocking from time to time.

    Can anyone help me please.

    Thanks

    Dirk

There's virtually no possible way that i know of that SWB could cause these kinds of issues. Did u install anything else just before the slowdown appeared?

Although I agree with snowbound in regard to SpywareBlaster probably not causing your slowdown, I am concerned that you may not have uninstalled SpywareBlaster properly.

You must first "Disable all protection" from within SpywareBlaster before uninstalling the program.

Before I installed Spyblaster I removed some spyware with Spybot.
Could this be the cause then ?

    What were the items removed?

Are they still in recovery in Spybot S&D?

U might want to restore them individually to see if one of them caused this issue.

    I found the problem.
Since some years I have AVG as virusscan.
For some reason, after I repaired the spyware, my PC slowed down.
After uninstalling AVG my PC worked 100%.
I don't know what the reason is (has I think something to do with the fact that AVG runs under MSDOS).
Now I installed bitdefender, and all systems are going great.
