    Re: SpywareBlaster enable disable PROBLEMS

My Interent options are still locked. I thought I disabled the restrcitons before I removed spywareBlaster.

I need to use some active x tools on ancestry.com to view documents. I can't download the enhanced viewer (LizardTech ExpressView Browser Plug-in (formerly MrSID Browser Plug-in)

I get the error:This operation have been cancelled due to restrictions.....

IS there a workaround to get this off?

    If i reinstall spywareblaster...can I undo it?

    Ceil

Yes....by re-installing SpywareBlaster(SB)you should have no problem un-doing any SB feature you've applied from a previous install.

    Hi,

    Thanks.

I reinstalled SB and disabled all.

Options in ie is still "cancelled due to restrictions "

Any other ideas on how to unlock it?

I have had problems with sp2 and norton's lately. Norton's 2005 caused all kind of problems. I took that off, too.

I would like to know where to look (and delete) the file that is locking Options.

    Ceil

I appologize Ceil....that message caused me to re-read your first post and I failed to see an important item in your first post.

SpywareBlaster does not have a feature to lock Internet Options....but a program named Spybot does.

If your sure that's all your needing to re-enable....the below reg key is what causes the Internet Options selection to be enabled\disabled. You can delete the entry NoBrowserOptions or to be on the safe side....re-install the software that actually had the feature that enables\disables Internet Options.

    Hi Bubba,

Thanks! You were right. It was my Spybot that was blocking it. I reinstalled that too...and now it is ALL GOOD.

    Thanks again.
