I installed this on my laptop and opted to have short cut on my desktop.
Clicking on icon does not open anything. How do I know pc is protected?
Running XP pro, mozilla 1.7, spyblaster

Hi artjen, and welcome to Wilders,

Normally Spyware Guard is installed as a Startup item, so it's always running -- you should see the SG icon in the tooltray if it's running. If you need to access it (for changing settings, or checking for updates) use that tooltray icon, not the desktop one.

Normally you don't need the desktop icon (or Start Menu entry) unless for some reason you've shut down SG and need to restart it. Rebooting will also get it going again, of course.

    Best,
    Mike
